Role

We are looking for a passionate Front-end / UI Engineer(San Francisco Bay Area) to work on cutting edge projects for an innovative, fast growing video programmatic advertising platform company. The Front-End Engineer will wear many hats from defining the user experience, designing the visual aspects of the UI, to coding the components that make up the front-end. This is a full-time role and an opportunity to join one of the fastest growing companies in digital video advertising.

Responsibilities

  • Own the workflow and user-facing UI journey, and build proof-of-concept prototypes to define solutions
  • Partner with product managers to develop product requirements with supporting user interface visualizations, and iterate on proposed designs with stakeholders
  • Be responsible for building interactive web based front-ends and UI components
  • Evaluate new and existing UX elements in the product by incorporating user feedback, leading code review sessions and best practices in order to continuously evolve and improve the product
  • Work with development, QA and customer-facing teams to ensure products exceed customer expectations 
  • Develop and continuously improve usability test criteria to guide product acceptance, and coordinate execution of UX with customers and stakeholders 
  • Define key UX metrics, track and analyze product performance, and assess customer and industry feedback 
  • Write well crafted, tested, readable and maintainable JavaScript code

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional experience writing Javascript and bringing UX/UI design concepts to life
  • Expert with HTML, CSS, and experience with libraries like SASS/LESS
  • Expert in developing interaction and visual designs to produce a seamless, effortless experience
  • Experience in information architecture methodology and UX design techniques in an iterative software development setting
  • Experience in frontend development, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience

Nice to haves:

  • A strong portfolio displaying your frontend, UI /UX, and graphic design skills
  • Node.js, Grunt, Gulp, or other server-side JavaScript technologies and tools
  • Automated testing, continuous integration(CI), realtime monitoring, and autoscaling of systems
  • Validated Use Case requirements as part of an overall Application Product Lifecycle
  • Previous exposure to Ad Tech, B2B or "big data" products
