Role

Clearstream.TV Finance Manager will be based out of our Chicago office and report directly to the Financer Director of EMX.  This role will be responsible for all accounting, reporting, forecasting, budgeting and analysis intiatives across Clearstream.TV.  This includes managing all finance and accounting staff and deliverables within Clearstream.TV.

Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Ensures all team members are working collaboratively together.
  • Build relationships with other finance leads across Engine Group and assigned bussinesses
  • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities
  • Proactively identify and communicate business opportunities and cost savings ideas to executive leaders to influence positive financial outcomes
  • Identify best practices and implement cost savings opportunities on labor, and all company expenses and maintenance of internal controls

 

Forecasting/Analysis

  • Preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecasts for assigned business units, collaborating with all business functions. This includes understanding and analyzing variances and providing insights to the CFO.
  • Maintain a rolling forecast monthly, and have full understanding on details of the business and escalate issues when appropriate
  • Manage open position and raise requests working with HR. This includes verifying financial coverage.
  • Ongoing operational analysis of business including margin, allocated direct and indirect costs on both a routine and an ad-hoc basis
  • Maintain data integrity with planning system as well as implementing more robust reporting and rolling foreast in the system.

 

Accounting/Month End

  • Ensure preparation of monthly Accounts is within the timelines required: - Monthly revenue numbers are accurate
  • Undertake monthly reviews of: client gross profit, work-in-progress, accrual calculations, deferred revenue and variance analysis
  • Ensure Monthly accounting and management reporting is completed accurately and on-time. Ensure senior management has time to review and adjust results as necessary before submission
  • Ensure that the CF file, cash flow forecast, and all balance sheet reconciliations and analysis has been completed
  • Understand and be able to explain monthly variances from budget and latest forecast across the P&L. Perform monthly reviews of actuals v budget & latest forecast with CFO
  • Responsibility for ensuring that all business finance procedures and processes are followed: - Compliance with local indirect, direct tax and GAAP requirements, including regular communication with local advisors
  • Daily cash flow monitoring and reporting, including: AP and AR balances, 13 week cash flow forecast
  • Leads annual audit, including allocation of costs, analysis and/or preparation of financial statements, preparation of selected audit schedules, handling of audit administrative matters, interfacing with Controller on audit related matters as needed

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA and MBA a plus.
  • Media and/or Advertising agency experience preferred.
  • 7 or more years finance experience required
  • Strong financial analysis skills; ability to evaluate business implications.
  • Ability and expertise in manipulating high volume, complex data is essential
  • Experience in global multi-currency service companies.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. Adaptive experience a plus.
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
